Brief History
Hi-Tech Plumbing Corp. (HTPC) was founded in 1989 by Kerry M.
Hara, a third generation plumber. HTPC started as a one man shop
with one van. In 1996 HTPC became an S corporation turning an
average of 300 homes per year and employing over 35 plumbers from
local 675. HTPC was the first plumbing company to install over a
thousand Solar Water Heating Systems via the Hawaiian Electric
Company’s (HECO) Solar Program, which still exists today.
Present
Today, HTPC is one of the largest track home plumbing contractors in
the State of Hawaii producing over 500 houses per year with Plumbing
and Solar Water Heating. HTPC now employs over 40 plumbers from
local 675, and still has inventory in excess of $5,000,000.00 in this
economically stressed period.
Servicing our Clients
We realize that Plumbing contractors are a dime a dozen and
Contractor loyalty is priceless. This is why emphasis on servicing our
clients is of the utmost importance. Contractor loyalty is based on how
high you jump and not always on being the lowest bidder. One of our
biggest clients was using our competitor and decided to switch because
of poor service and attitude towards production. Five years ago HTPC
had a window of opportunity to work with this Contractor and to date we
are still doing projects with direct negotiations totaling over 14 million.
